Spam Detection for Reviews: How to Enable and Manage It

AgentMoves includes a Spam Detection feature inside Reputation Management that automatically identifies and flags spam reviews coming in on your connected Google Business Profile or Facebook page. This article explains what the feature does, how to turn it on, and how to manage flagged reviews.
What Spam Detection Does
When enabled, all new incoming reviews are automatically scanned. If the system identifies a review as spam, the following occurs:
The review is visually flagged inside your Reviews dashboard
Your AI reply bot will not respond to it
Any scheduled review replies for that review are stopped
The review is excluded from your Review Widget on your website or funnels
The review is not counted in your dashboard reputation overview
You can override any decision the system makes -- either removing a spam flag or adding one manually.
How to Enable Spam Detection
Click Reputation in the left sidebar
Click Settings at the top
Select Spam Reviews from the left menu
Toggle to On
Click Save in the bottom right corner
Once saved, all new incoming reviews will be screened automatically.
How to View and Manage Flagged Reviews
Go to Reputation and click Reviews
Open the filter dropdown and select Spam
All reviews flagged as spam will appear here
To take action on any flagged review, click the three dots on the right side of the review. Your options are:
Mark as Not Spam -- restores the review if it was flagged incorrectly
Mark as Spam -- manually flags a review the system missed
Undo Spam -- reverses a manual flag you applied by mistake
What Spam Detection Does Not Do
This feature does not remove the review from Google or Facebook. The review remains visible publicly on those platforms. Spam Detection only controls how the review is handled inside your AgentMoves account.
If you need to pursue removal of the review from Google directly, that requires a separate process through Google's own reporting tools. Contact AgentMoves support if you need guidance on that.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my AI bot ever respond to a review marked as spam? No. Once a review is flagged as spam -- either by the system or manually -- your AI reply bot will not engage with it.
What if the system flags a legitimate review? Click the three dots next to the review and select Mark as Not Spam. This removes the flag and restores the review to your normal queue.
What if a spam review was not caught automatically? You can flag it manually by clicking the three dots next to the review and selecting Mark as Spam.
Does this affect reviews that came in before I turned the feature on? No. Spam Detection applies to new incoming reviews from the point of activation forward. Previously received reviews are not retroactively scanned.
