How to Set Up and Use Email Marketing in AgentMoves
Full Video Training:
1. Understand the goal of the email marketing setup 0:00
AgentMoves email marketing can replace tools like MailChimp, Constant Contact, and ActiveCampaign.
The video walks through the recommended setup and best practices.
The same principles apply even if you use another email platform.
2. Set up a dedicated sending domain 0:49
Start with the domain your emails will be sent from.
Do not use a generic CRM sending domain like
mail.lofty.me.Use your own subdomain instead, such as
mail.yourdomain.comoremail.yourdomain.com.Why this matters:
Protects your email reputation.
Makes emails feel authentic and personal.
Lets you swap subdomains later if one gets a bad reputation without harming your root domain.
3. Add the dedicated domain in AgentMoves 3:03
Go to Settings → Email Services.
Click Dedicated Domain and IP.
Choose Add Domain.
Enter a short, simple subdomain name.
Click Add and Verify to begin DNS setup.
4. Add the required DNS records at your domain registrar 4:41
AgentMoves will ask you to add DNS records for the subdomain.
Log in to your domain registrar, such as:
GoDaddy
Cloudflare
Another DNS provider
Find the domain’s DNS records or Manage DNS section.
If your registrar is supported, AgentMoves may connect automatically.
If not, you’ll need to add the records manually.
5. Authorize and verify the domain 6:25
Review the DNS records AgentMoves says it will add.
Click Authorize Domain.
Approve the DNS changes when prompted.
Wait a few minutes if verification is still pending.
Return and click Verify Domain until the status turns green.
A green verified status means the sending domain is ready.
6. Decide whether you need a dedicated IP 8:00
Most users do not need a dedicated IP.
Consider one if you send more than 150,000 emails per month.
Dedicated IPs are available for purchase if needed.
For most accounts, the dedicated domain setup is enough.
7. Configure the domain used for sending 8:33
Go to Domain Configuration.
Select the dedicated domain you just verified.
Use the same domain for all email sending unless you have a reason to separate them.
Confirm the domain is saved and active.
8. Create or import an email template 9:12
Go to Marketing → Email Settings.
Before building campaigns, create a reusable template.
Template options include:
Create from an existing campaign
Use a built-in template
Start from a blank template
Import email with AI
The AI import option lets you send an email to a special address and turn it into an editable template.
9. Import a template from another email platform 10:13
This is the recommended shortcut if you already have a good email design elsewhere.
Send a test email from your current provider to the import address.
Click Continue so AgentMoves can find it.
AgentMoves will generate a template based on the email’s design and layout.
This is useful for importing from:
MailChimp
ActiveCampaign
Kajabi
Another agent’s email you want to model
10. Edit the template content and branding 11:49
Once imported, edit the template so it matches your brand.
Update items like:
Template name
Logo or header image
Body text
Signature
Use the visual editor or AI builder to make changes.
Make the template your own rather than copying it exactly.
11. Set the template’s sending details 13:48
Open the template settings from the three-dot menu.
Set the From email address to match the verified sending domain.
Example: if your domain is
mail.yourdomain.com, use an email from that domain.
Add a subject line.
Add preview text, ideally the first sentence of the email.
Save the template settings.
12. Save the template for repeated use 15:11
Save the template after editing.
Reusable templates save time and should be used for most campaigns.
Most email sends should be built from templates so they can be repeated later.
You can find the saved template in your recent templates list.
13. Create a campaign from the template 15:23
Go to Campaigns → New.
Choose your saved email template.
The template will populate the campaign draft.
Next, move to the scheduling step.
14. Choose how and when to send the campaign 16:04
In Send Schedule, choose one of the send options:
Send now
Schedule for later
Batch schedule
RSS-based sending
Smart send
Batch scheduling is important for large sends.
For newer domains, keep volume low, such as around 1,000 emails per day or less.
You can also limit sends to certain days of the week.
15. Use RSS or smart send if needed 17:03
RSS can automatically send emails when a blog feed updates.
This is useful for blog content or other regularly updated feeds.
Smart send uses past sending data to recommend the best send time.
Smart send becomes useful after you’ve sent at least 1,000 emails in the last 60 days.
16. Confirm sender verification and campaign settings 17:48
Make sure the campaign is using the verified sending domain.
If needed, check Verified Sender Settings.
Additional settings to review:
Attribution window
Fonts
Tracking options
Unsubscribe behavior
Recommended defaults:
Attribution around 5 days
Keep tracking on
Use dynamic unsubscribe settings
17. Choose who receives the email 20:04
Select the audience for the campaign.
Options include:
Individual contacts
Smart lists
Tags
Prebuilt segments
Custom segments
Common choices are smart lists and tags.
Smart lists are useful for filtered audiences like hot leads or valid contacts.
18. Add final delivery options and resend settings 21:11
Review additional settings before sending.
You can resend to people who did not open the email.
This is especially useful for event emails or important announcements.
You can also change the subject line for the resend.
When everything looks right, click Review and Send.
19. Check campaign status after sending 21:49
After sending, the campaign will appear in the campaign list.
Status may show as:
Scheduled
Sending
Processing
It should no longer appear as a draft once it is active.
20. Use the help center for deeper support 22:06
If you need help, use the AgentMoves Help Center.
Search for topics like:
Email deliverability
Email validation
Campaign setup
There is also a dedicated email campaign support section for more guidance.
